PERFORMANCE AND INSTALLATION ART

Made with painting, projections, soundscapes, archaic machines, and love.

Installation for The Mesoverse - an immersvie art space in Hamilton, New Zealand. I challenged myself to bring my projection art and mural work together. I also love non-digital machines, so hacked an old school OHP projector with a disco ball motor and printed patterns on transparency film.

Dr. Mesmers Private Army is a multimedia performance ensemble. They present real-time creation where everything you see and hear is performed for the first and only time during the concert.
I create projected performances with live drawings and by manipulating oils, inks, fabrics, paper, and more in real-time.

Electric Shadows is an experimental audiovisual duo comprising myself (visuals) and Dr Jeremy Mayall (audio).

For this performance I created all the visuals with cut and folded paper and a camera.

1+1=3 installation at the Taupō Museum, 2020.
As part of the Graffiato Street Art Festival exhibition celebrating 10 years of the street art festival, this installation comprised a painted mural, electric motors, rotating discs and not one, but three OHPs. For those who don’t remember the world before digital projectors, an OHPs is an Overhead Projector.
This work is inspired by the idea that loving our world might be the most important step towards saving it.
